Education for Everyone
Our vision is to help every person in our community pursue a college education and improve their lives through providing financial support and state-of-the-art resources. We’re here to help students who value hard work and are taking the steps necessary to transform their futures by earning a college degree or a career-technical certificate.
Our mission is to provide aid supplementary to public tax dollars for the support and benefit of the College.
Every person deserves an education that matches their ambition. With your help, finances don't have to be a barrier for our students.
According to the 2025 Community College League of California / RP Group “2025 Real College CA Student Survey”, among community-college students in California:
- 46% reported food insecurity
- 58% reported housing insecurity.
- Approximately 67% of students (statewide) experienced food insecurity or housing insecurity or both.
The California community college system serves more students than any other higher education system in the state – and at the lowest cost. However, California community college students have some of the greatest need.
A Helping Hand Up for Higher Education
We at the Solano Community College Educational Foundation believe that every person, regardless of resources, should have access to a meaningful education and training at Solano Community College.
That’s why we have been working since 1985 to increase financial support for SCC students and to help ensure the College's long-term stability.
