Scholarships
Why Give to Scholarships
Every student deserves an education that matches their ambition. With your help, finances don’t have to be a barrier for our students who dream of a brighter, healthier, and more just tomorrow for themselves, our community, and our world.
For a high percentage of students at Solano Community College, tuition and other associated expenses, such as transportation, books, food, and rent, are real financial barriers that can prevent them from completing their education. Scholarships allow students to take more units, work fewer hours, focus on their studies, and achieve their goals more quickly.
Every year, the Solano Community College Educational Foundation gives away over $100,000 in scholarships – funds generously donated by our community – to qualifying students who demonstrate financial need and a passion for completing their educational journeys. By donating to or establishing a scholarship, you are helping students succeed.
Annual Scholarship ($500+)
The minimum amount for an annual scholarship is $500. Donors must replenish funds annually to continue awarding the scholarship(s). Scholarships may be awarded to students in specific programs, pursuing particular career paths, or intending to continue at SCC or transfer.
Endowed Scholarships ($15,000+)
By establishing an endowed scholarship, you are helping SCC students for generations to come. Endowed scholarships are held in perpetuity, and awards are given out from the return on the principal invested. Endowed scholarships require a minimum investment of $15,000.
