• 46% of students receive a California state fee waiver
• 21% of students receive a federal Pell Grant
• 9% of students are incarcerated
• 7% of students receive services/support through the Basic Needs Center
• 100% face a financial emergency when they apply

Solano Community College believes that all students – regardless of their background or income level – deserve access to a high-quality, affordable education. One unexpected financial emergency can threaten their ability to stay enrolled and complete their degree. All it takes is one unexpected expense to turn an already precarious situation into a major emergency.

The Emergency Fund provides fast, flexible, one-time financial support to students experiencing a crisis – whether it's an unanticipated medical bill, an eviction threat, a car repair, or a job loss.
